Sometimes
you just gotta cut loose and melt into a Fred Dibnah weekend marathon, or even 10 episodes straight, of Keith Floyd on whatever he is on.

Had to laugh the other night when he was adding saffron to a dish and he said it was even more expensive that certain 'unnamed substances', and carried on with a smirk on his face.

Dibnah, however, leaves me stone cold I'm afraid. Too much of the 'ee-up, Tetley tea, professional northerner' about him for my rarified tastes. I'm a frightful snob, which is the real problem.

I've real soft spot for the old cunt
Since i watched his original documentary about 15 years ago. I found his devil-may-care attitude to climbing and demolishing 200 foot chimneys was refreshing and hugely entertaining.

Then his candid and throwaway discussions with complete strangers about the 'cancer in me prostate, y'know', was disarming and poignant.
