Straight down the M6 for 2 hoursAccording to Google maps this would take you to the edge of the Peak District and there are loads of lovely pubs round here.
Quik edit: Cheddleton is reallllllly nice but possibly a bit to far.
Another Edit: 1hour 40 according to Google.
