Is that near Yosemite national park? When I tried to visit there, this happened. At least I got to briefly visit Muir Woods while I was in California.
As for what's pleasing me, I might actually get a chance to start playing Civilization 4 today.

It's about in between L.A. and S.F.so not too far from Yosemite (about 3-4 hours drive).
I shall take plenty of pictures for you so you can visit (kinda) vicariously!

That reminds meWhen I was in Muir Woods, I took an artistic photo there of the moon shining through the Giant Redwoods. I can pass it on to you if you're interested.

I love the Sierras, usually go to the Eastern Sierras 3-4 times a year so I'm looking forward to seeing this part of it.
