I'm going to be completely obvious hereand say the original run of Doctor Who. Towards the end it wasn't great, but was turning a corner and starting to get half decent viewing figures, considering it was up against Constipation Street.
If anyone had told me then it would end up being one of the most successful programmes on the box this decade, I would have shit in their hat and told them not to be so stupid.
