I temped in the branch of Natwest on the uni campus for a whileand when asking the obligatory "do you want a credit card?" I heard back "no thanks, I've got daddy's gold card" or words to that effect at least 3 times.

I didn't have a credit card,till my mid 30s. No wonder they moan about debt.
