Are you a QOTWer? Do you want to start a thread that isn't a direct answer to the current QOTW? Then this place, gentle poster, is your friend.

Jesus.
Do people regularly get banned on /talk? Much of the drama over there is massively more offensive than that.

No, they don't but I'm pretty sure /talk causes less bother for the mods.

Really?
Off Topic in particular seems to be to be a sleepy backwater compared to /talk. Or is it just because QOTW is full of whinging cunts?

The fact it took a few days for me to get banned make me think it was a result of a search.

Sounds like it.
I appreciate the sentiment about not constantly picking on an individual but going around banning people for having an opinion about someone seems pretty heavy-handed to me. I've seen much worse on other boards here and it should be accepted that someone as prolific and popular as him will have his detractors too.

Yes that's common sense.
As I've said before, he's just a bad poster in my opinion, it's his agressive cult of fans that are really the problem.

the way LizardKing has freaked out two weeks in a row amuses me

It's impressive isn't it?
Yesterday it was over a six-word post which wasn't even heavily slagging him off.

yeah I just read that
the best thing is the way his whole argument is "if you don't like it don't read it" and doesn't understand that the same is true of the replies.
