I cite the Strokes just as an examplebut there are far worse offenders. Is This It, to be fair, sounded different to everything around it at the time, and admittedly I didn't hear the whole of the second one but dismissed it when the singles from it sounded just the same as the middling tracks on the first one.

and the third one is fantasticFirst Impressions of Earth - far more expansive - live they are superb.
