PC question for IT types.
On the mac you can get something called istat pro.
What this does is tell you exactly how hot things are running, how much of the processor is being used and what by, that kind of thing.

Is there anything similar for windows?

Thanks.

Not at all m'dear. I'd have no idea of where to find it on a mac :)

Top tip
Press <Ctrl>+<Shift>+<Esc> and it magically appears... by magic!

That depends on the version of Windows
Mine works for all of them. All I say! Muh-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Task manager doesn't tell you about core temps etc.
It pretty much just monitors the number of tasks (duh), the CPU usage, network and memory usage.

There are a few free programs which will monitor these types of things for you on a windows box but I can't remember any of them right now. (Mac user)

Process Explorer
It's free and it's better than Task Manager.
