I've got the first season of The Wire on DVDI've watched the first episode three times now and can't get into it.
So my money's on Rescue Me for the black comedy - it's all in the wake of 9/11.

Apparently it takes the first 5-7 episodes to really hook you in. I've got seasons 1-5 on my external hard driveSo I think I'll do that first and dl rescue me while I watch them. If they're both awesome, I'll buy the box sets.
