It's Greek
same root as Helen, Eleanor etc - which are my grandmother's and sister's names respectively. Her mum's family are Greek too so it was the perfect name - it's pretty much the only thing we ever agreed on...

Ha! Not quite.
I used to know a dealer from Earls Court who was Greek - his sister was called Eleni and he threatened to kill me if I went near her.
