the amp is partly responsible
it's a 15w Fender valve job, but with the strat it sounds sublime. it's fucking loud as well.

What is it about these small amps?
I bought myself a little 15W Vox job a while ago and I can't believe quite how loud it can go. It's kind of insulting given the stupid wattages I normally need to make my bass audible.

valve amps are a lot louder
I had mine on about 3 (out of 12) on Saturday. admittedly it was miked up too, but it was still fucking loud

This is just a normal little amp so you can hear your lecky in the house.
And it's very loud. I have no idea how loud because I don't want evicting.
