You go down to the beach
And spread out your towels. Leave the missus sunbathing and go for a swim.

'Accidentally' be swept along the shore a bit by the current and get out on the wrong bit of beach, thus having to study everyone carefully whilst looking for your other half.

Not that I've ever tried this.
