You only have two choices, really
Regardless of manifestos and removing protest votes from the equation, your choices are Lib Dem or Tory.

Voting Tory is always going to make you deeply unpopular with a certain section of society and, to be honest, I can't really stomach the idea of it, either. However, people need to face up to an unfortunate truth. Conservatives fix the economy, Labour breaks it. Each and every time Labour have been in power, they've fucked the country over financially. The Conservatives, on the other hand, are full of greasy investment banker types who actually know how to turn a loss into a profit.

It comes down to a choice of whether you'd like to vote according to your principles, or whether you want pay rises, bonuses and a favourable job market again.

The second option are the Lib Dems. They won't be quite such rank outsiders this time around as everybody who's actually going to vote is thoroughly fed up of Labour and the Tories in equal measure. Should they actually get into power, however, it's anybody's guess as to what would actually happen given that they've got no experience whatsoever.

Really, you're going to have to make a protest vote with some minor party, or make yourself a little bit sick on the inside and vote Conservative.
