Best:
AC/DC, the Stooges or NY hip hop crew called the Arsonists who were truly incredible. Motorhead's 30th Anniversary show was also brilliant as was every one of the 8 million shows by Thee Hypnotics I went to in the 80s. Gaye Bykers on Acid were excellent at Treworgey too. Also Ozric Tentacles offshoot The Ullulators at Barton Stacey airfield fee festival 89 or 90; they played two nights on the trot and were incredible (and v different) both nights.

Worst: Hmmmm - possibly Tortoise. I think that's the only gig I've walked out of 15 minutes in. They were totally fucking awful.


EDIT what the fuck am I talking about - best ever was Hawkwind at the Treworgey Tree Fayre 89: it's available on DVD if anyone cares. However I was 15 and chock full of LSD at the time so my recollections are more than a little misty-eyed.

I didn't know the Ozrics had dissolved into a breakaway band
I thought they'd just split up. Are these Ullulators worth checking out then?
