Last time I got dumpedI was devastated. I became a total stupid fucking emo about it and moped around a lot. This for some strange reason made me more attractive to the hotties and in the year following I had a lot of one night stands that always made me feel worse in the morning and I had to tell the girl I wasn't interested, which made me a total prick.
It wasn't until I was happy being single that I actually met someone I really liked.

Has anyone else noticedhow easy it is to misread "moped" and see it not as the past tense of "mope," but as the noun describing a small, motorised bicycle?

This is pretty much exactly what happened to me last time. I was finally happy being single then my now ex came along. It's kinda depressing starting all that all over again.
