I too have had many bloody awful teapots but now they get thoroughly tested in the store. The only thing I don't do is bring a flask of tea with me, a couple of cups and some cakes. The worse crime is where the flange (hehehe, I said flange) on the lid isn't high enough so the last couple of cups result in the BLOODY LID FALLING OFF. I ask you. Do people who make teapots ever drink tea?
What I don't have, though, is a decent tea-cosy.

My worst ever teapot was a sleek black little number, nice flange (snik snik), attractive shape and a non-dribble spout. Poured the hot water in, let it draw, went to lift it to pour the tea and the handle fell off. I took it back and they said 'oh that has happened with few of them'.
