Did anyone else hear the new Pendulum single yet?
Oooooh, they're ever such a good band. Anyone going to Warrior's Dance this July?

It's rare for me to say this
But I much preferred them before they started playing instruments.
Their 'proper' drum 'n' bass stuff was alot better I reckon; 'Another Planet' is one of my favourite tunes of all time, whereas 'Propane Nighmares' et al. is just poo in comparison.

Fair play
I know plenty of people who'd agree with you. Not coming from a d'n'b background I was happy with the direction they took post-Hold Your Colour. New single (Watercolour) is pretty banging

In answer to your actual questions
I haven't heard it (I will check it out later).

I don't plan on going to Warrior's Dance, as I don't know what it is (I suspect some kind of festival).

Yep
A one-day festival, so basically a big gig. Prodigy headlining with Pendulum, Enter Shikari, Chase and Status and Does It Offend You Yeah supporting

I'm looking for something festival-y
to do this summer. May have to pop along. Chase and Status are great and I have a soft spot for DIOYY? despite occasional cringeworthy elements to their music.

That sounds pretty good right there
but I don't think I'm going to be allowed another major gig this year after Download. I'm hoping Enter Shikari get picked up for there though.

Ah, Download
Every year it clashes with a night I DJ in Norwich. Last year, because one of the other DJs was going, I couldn't - even though FAITH NO FUCKING MORE, my all-time favourite band, were playing.

This year my night doesn't clash with Download. And who's headlining? AC/DC. I ask you. Warrior's Dance it is then.

Neesh - let me know if you get a ticket, I'll see you there mate

Is Warrior's Dance the same day as Download then?
Download was another I was considering attending.

May go just for the one day.

I'll keep you informed, DF ;)

Nah, Warrior's Dance is July 24th
I'm just bitter about Download. Is it unethical to advise a friend who's struggling to afford the ticket to sell a kidney?
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 12:22, Reply)
A little.
Especially when whoring oneself is a perfectly viable alternative.

You haven't met him
The kidney will make more

Don't want to
Pendulum are sold out, sycophant cock slags. In a bad way. They're no longer welcome in DnB circles. Such a shame- they made some great tunes and are very talented producers. Such a pity they turned to the dark side and peddle nu-metal for teenagers these days.

No offence.

You're entitled to your opinion mate :-)
As I said I've never liked d'n'b. I can imagine that if a promising metal band I liked sold out and made music for the masses I'd be pretty pissed off too. See "Metallica" for reference
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 12:29, Reply)
Agreed.
Although I don't think I would have been so obtusely aggressive about it.
