At least your boss seems decent enough - they've given you time to sort out stuff and recognised that you're stressed. Other than that? Write a list of things that bug you, divide it into things you can do something about (sorting out stuff with work, getting car fixed ect) and stuff you can't do anything about (Speeding fine, cat's illness ect) and focus on fixing the problems you can do something about - apart from anything else actualy seeing your problems written down kinda helps put things into perspective. Can't say I've had any realy shit days of late - things seem to be going pretty well - spent most of yesterday in london hanging out with mates and getting up to fun things. In fact other than bastard work shifts and the usual emo "why can't I have a normal stable relationship" whiny bollocks things are pretty much good. :) Hope your day improves - and if not, i'ts over halfway gone by now.
