ebaybut you are genuinely better off having a hunt for a good bookshop depending on where you are.
Edit: does depend on what books you are after, but Oxfam bookshops often have a decent amount though heavily inclined towards classics and popular books.

also keep your eyes open for libraries closing downand selling off old books. My dad used to do that- generally about 50pence a book and some absolute gems
