She does this annoying laugh when she's about to do some shit boasting about her shit son or his shit car or his shitness as a teacher.
It's never anything funny, but she thinks it lessens the boasting or the smugness.
And it's never anything worth bragging about anyway. I wouldn't mind if he was Charlie Bignuts, but he isn't.
