fibromyalgia. anyone know anything about it, or anything that helps? my mum just got diagnosed. so far i've found 5-htp (5-hydroxytryptophan) and a low glycemic index diet helps some people.
alternatively, my coworker has a sound file play whenevre he gets an email. it's an awful austin powers impression going 'youve got mail baby yeah!' it makes me want to kill. what annoying traits do your coworkers have?

there's an awful lot of medical information out there, unless it's been published and peer reviewed it's not trustworthy.

ring them up and ask for information about the disease and they'll compile all the info you need and email/post it to you.

looked up my condition on www.patient.co.uk for treatment ideas, which I found slightly odd.

She does this annoying laugh when she's about to do some shit boasting about her shit son or his shit car or his shitness as a teacher.
It's never anything funny, but she thinks it lessens the boasting or the smugness.
And it's never anything worth bragging about anyway. I wouldn't mind if he was Charlie Bignuts, but he isn't.

which when pressed, emits a tinny siren sound and goes 'WARNING! Bullshit detected!' in a smug cheesy american voice. it gets used approx three times per week or more. he also has HAL saying 'there is a message for you' as his email tone. mine is the gentle sound of me ramming a pencil into my eye socket to escape the monotony.

I work with someone who has a cookie jar on his desk that goes "Mm-mm them sure are some tasty cookies" whenever it gets opened.
Really. Bloody. Annoying.

Can't you 'accidentally' smash it to pieces when they're at lunch - or at worst disable the voice?
Failing that, disable the person?

I'm moving offices, so I'm trying to ride out the storm.

then i'm off to start a new job with a big skate clothing brand, much younger crowd, better job etc.. i don't see any of the guys i've met as the wacky david brent type.

except for one cunt but I just ignore him.
However, in the other office is one of those guys who just talks inane shit at you for no reason and doesn't take the hint that you're busy or wish him dead.
He also drinks like 10 cups of black coffee a day so his breath stinks. I hate him. I do so hate him.

But my grandad sits in the office most days nodding off or eating his crisps, NOISELY!!

I had a hamster for company. He was good, he'd remind me when it was time to stop working by kicking food around until I fed him more

I wish my grandad came to work with me.
He'd be all charming and chubby and then suddenly shout "CUNT!" as he had a passing thought of Kay Burleigh or Michael Parkinson.

I wish he wouldn't come into work and then I could fart in the office with impunity.

Is a natural anti-depressant, sold in most health stores under the name 'happy days'. I know a lot of people use it to help replace depleted serotonin after a night on substances; It helps with the reuptake of serotonin.
In relation to fibromyalgia it has limited effects on relieving fatigue and pain. It's an SSRI type anti-depressant and other Tricyclic types of anti-depressants will work better for fibromyalgia.
Overall though anti-depressants aren't a great solution, but the treatment of fibromyalgia varies depending on the person, so try different treatments to see which relieves the symptoms the best.
