Dave Brock's famous for being a shifty fucker, covertly releasing 'bootlegs' from his own archives and not paying any of the musicians on them etc, but this is a new low.

My favourite Dave Brock anecdote comes from Mick Wall, who met him when he was a tour manager or PR guy or some shit in the (I think) early 80s, and got the Hawkwind account. Dave Brock definitely has more than a touch of the 'Albert Steptoes' about him, and was due to have a meeting with Mick Wall in the bar of a hotel somewhere.

Mick's there first, and when Dave walks in, Mick's first words to his new client are the priceless 'bins are round the back, mate'.

Brock apparently walked straight back out again in stony-faced silence and never spoke to him again.
