Yes, I too find those ads offensive.
What's worse is that a lot of women buy into that shit. When I was last single women were often blown away by the fact that I could cook and didn't have tons of dirty clothes and dishes lying around my place. I actually had one woman joke that if she hadn't had experience to the contrary she'd have sworn I was gay.

Not all of us men have a deep interest in sports, and many of us actually like to read, cook, talk about ideas, and have diverse musical tastes that can include the occasional Enya tune as well as Pearl Jam. Some of us even enjoy going to parks and sitting in a gazebo and watching the crowds go by.

There's a special place in hell for the advertisers who promote such sexist twaddle. Or if there isn't, there fucking well should be.

There's a special place in hell
for people of any gender who enjoy 'the occasional Enya tune'.

Luckily for you, the ultimate 'get out of hell free' card is your namesake 'The Wanderer' by Dion and the Belmonts. If you like that tune, I won't beat you to death with your own shoes.

Well, we all have one or two songs like that, don't we?
I admit it, there are a bunch of cheesy pieces of crap that still make me smile even though I know that they're dreck. (The Enya song, btw, is "Carribean Blue".)

It's okay, I have enough Tom Waits and Cat Power to outweigh them.
