On a tangent to this weeks QOTW
I filled up yesterday and £1.20 for a litre of diesel is just mental, particularly as my car doesn't get many miles to the gallon.

Any OTter out there driving a not-petrol car? Hybrid, full electric, LPG? Would you recommend it?

Alternatively, it'd cost a fortune to burn someone alive. Who would you pick?

VW Transporter 1.9TDi
Just got back from a trip to Poland and beyond.
3759 miles and only used about 75 litres of diesel, the rest was all veg oil averaging about 76p/litre.
Only works for certain diesel engines mind. It's to do with the viscosity of the oil and the many and varied types of injection system and fuel pump.

Do Ant&Dec count as one person?

Good answer!
The other thing about vegoil is that if buying new then tesco and asda are generally cheapest.
Also you can use up to 2,600 litres per year as motive fuel before you need to register with HMRC for duty.
A 2 tank conversion is recommended to allow winter use, plenty of kits and details on the web. LILI run a course. www.lowimpact.org/

People can be burnt on a wood fire!

I don't own a car. My bicycle runs on the impetus from my legs and, if I've had enough to drink the day before, natural gas.
