Normally alright, and Sam Smith's beers = cheap rounds.
Only drawback is the number of people eating each other's faces off in the doorway on a Friday night.

supported by 70s electronic pioneers (and nutjobs) Suicide. It was fucking brilliant - and fucking LOUD too.

Not familiar with Suicide's work, but I'd have been interested to see whether the Stooges still had it.
Incidentally I went to see a little-known blues artist the other night - one John Crampton - who turned out to be one of the most impressive acoustic blues players I've come across of late. He was pretty fucking loud too, for a man who was basically making all the noise with a resonator and a wooden stomping board. I may have to drag you along next time he's in London.

The Stooges not only still have it, but have a great deal more now than most performers ever have in their entire careers. High octane, hilarious and just a superb night out. One thing that struck me last night was how good a vocalist Iggy Pop is. Not something many will have noticed given his onstage maniac routine.
The also wheeled out the never-officially-recorded but oft bootlegged classic 'Cock in my Pocket' which was marvellous.

Now you mention it, I'd never have had him down as a great vocalist. A great frontman, but not that much of a vocalist.

and really great vocal control. Not something I'd ever noticed.
