we went 2 years agoand all chucked in a kitty of 500 kroner each, which lasted us pretty much the the entire day including food and taxis

Glad you mentioned Kroner.Auto-pilot would have seen me proudly walking into a bar with a handful of Euros. (Not based on my own stupidity, rather the fact I'd given no thought to where I was going, usually, EasyJet = Euro.
