I don't really make resolutions
although I did tell myself I would finish the first three modules on my degree course which I haven't.

I don't think anything particularly exciting has happened this year, it all seems to have flown by in a mundane blur of Monday-Friday, Monday-Friday, leaving me feeling like my life is slipping away slowly.

The last time I was truly terrified was just after I had watched The Sixth Sense, notably the scene with the cyclist when she appears at the car window. That wasn't the terrifying bit. I watched it with a friend who I then drove home at 2am. When I arrived back at my flat I parked outside and was just reaching across into the passenger footwell to retrieve my bag. As I reached over, a woman was standing outside the passenger window with long bedraggled hair covering her face and her hands on the glass. I screamed so fucking loud and jumped as far back into my side as I could. At that point she opened my passenger door and started leaning into the car. My heart had nearly stopped by this point. She pulled her straggly hair away from her face and said "are you a taxi love?"

I sat in the car for about ten minutes after that, shaking like a whippet in the snow.

I think there was a time recently where something made me jump so hard I screamed, but I can't remember. I remember screaming.

My whippet shakes in the snow
but she also shakes in the height of summer. And if anyone points a camera at her. Makes it hard to get photos of her that don't look like we've just beaten her.
