My birthname is 4 letters long- it's not a contracted version.
No middle name either. I got landed with a shit name.

My sister's name is an abbreviation...though apparently the full form is Greek in origin. Still means 'pure,' though.

I didn't know the meaning of yours
Oooh, in my shop today they had a large model crow. I saw it and thought of you, especially as it was covered in spangly jewelry.

I looked it up on Wiki- apparently the meaning is debated, and might come from one of my favourite goddesses. Which makes me like it a little more. κάθερος is certainly more likely thought.
