I have a different techniqueI make every effort to go into work if I'm ill, and on several occasions have been sent home. That way, everyone knows I'm not skiving. If I'm really ill, I take time off. That sometimes happens.
But it also means that if I do skive for a bit, everyone assumes I'm really ill...
