I'm sure there will be plenty of "very friendly"young Italian men
who will be all too pleased to help you out if you get it any trouble.

I shouldn't stereotype
As I'm sure not all Italian men are greasy, lecherous crooks. In fact, I know some who aren't.

However, during the first couple of weeks when volcanic ash was grounding planes, all the other countries did their best to help stranded tourists, whilst in Italy a lot of the natives bought up whatever plane, train or boat tickets they could to sell on at a premium to said stranded tourists.

(know nice Italian men) however they are still usually quite sexist. And the times I've been to Rome before (and the times my family have been to Rome) there's been gangs of them who can be fairly intimidating
