Have you read 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'?I just finished it - I'd put off reading it because everyone raved about it and I thought it was likely to be crap. I was about a third of the way in and still thought it was crap and then suddenly....all the dark twisty stuff started and I was hooked.
Alternatively anything by Pat Barker is brilliant - WW1 stories.
What sort of things do you like?

I've read the Regeneration trilogy and "Another World" by Pat BarkerI'll read anything (but I dont want to read about vampires)
