I'm always disappointed when books are turned into filmsI had high hopes for "The Road", but it fell short of the mark. I thought "The Time Travellers Wife" was quite a good film, even if they did cut about 60% of the book (by necessity I suppose).
"Alien" and "Aliens" by Allen Dean Foster are brilliant books, as are the films.
I like Kubriks "The Shining", I actually prefer it to the book.
