I've taken to frying my baconbecause it's quicker. But I just put it in the pan and heat until some of the fan renders off, which the bacon then cooks in. I figure there's little difference in the fat content either way.
Unless I also put in some mushrooms, as they tend to soak up the fat as they fry.
