That's thinking on a very personal perspectiveFrom an evolutionary standpoint, the point of everything is to continue the species. Eat, sleep, breed. That's it.
People have just ended up with a sense of self. Which is how, sadly, even a successful species can evolve to make Bono and Chris Martin...
