The Island is still better than Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen though. How anyone can make such a cock-up of a premise like that is beyond me

Now, the thing is
I didn't mind Revenge of the Fallen. I think it's because I got it as a gift, everyone else told me it was shit, and therefore I had seriously low expectations. Some of the set piece sequences were brilliant.

I saw it in the cinema with obscenely high expectations
the set-pieces were decent enough but they did too much money-saving obscuring for my liking. And how in the name of satan's arse does a director decide that what sold the first film was not so much the giant transforming robots as the "comedy"?
