I've never been a smoker
but one or two friends I know who have given up just did it cold turkey. Said they found it difficult to be around cigarettes for a fair bit after that

Alt Q: I'd like to give up crisps. Worst thing for my health and for the calories

I was thinking about taking up heroin to reduce the nicotine cravings of quitting cold turkey. Should help I think.

I reckon cold turkey is the way forward
that's how I quit fentanyl, and while at first it is terrible, it feels like a cleaner break (and it is quicker)

Someone here
recommended those electric cigarrets, as you still have something in your hands and they give you some nicotine, so you don't miss it so much.

Women who smoke
end up with a mouth like a cat's arse by the time they hit 50.

(Someone on here once pointed that out, and I liked it so am repeating it here).
