I have started painting models
again but am quite embarrassed by it. Good fun though and I don't seem to have lost much of my touch which is nice.

I used to paint some of my mates' models occasionally
and found it very therapeutic and quite enjoyable. Not enough for me to squander hundreds and hundreds on models for a game that is terribly terribly nerdy.

Don't know anyone who ever painted a whole army either.

Trying to avoid cliches
by not actually placing your brush on the canvas?

Exactly
I work through a more natural, biological medium.

yeah me
I painted a huge chaos army at boarding school. And I painted lots of little squads for other people. Earned me some nice cash. It is very therapeutic.
