I might have been able to get away with offering coffee, but I felt, as someone who'd be interested in seeing said lady again, that it would be more fun, assuming she'd like to see me again, that the chase - leading to a 'coffee' moment would be more fun than steaming in.

I expect I've got this badly wrong.
