perhaps you smile more with one side of your mouth than the other?

Compare some of my monstrosities though, and you'll see why I'm hoping desperately that I'm just unphotogenic, rather than actually looking like that

some people do just smile
with one side of their face. Especially for cameras, so it looks less like they're grinning
