I had thoseand it didn't always help*. I would very much recommend spending a bit extra and getting heated gloves for the winter - especially since Bradford is somewhat chiller than Bristol.
*NB, you are probably not stupid enough to drive your 125cc bike from Bristol to Preston on A-roads because you don't want to leave it at uni over Christmas...
