I hate that so much
there was some stupid customer relationship course here recently, and one of the things they were telling people to do was to use people's names more.

It would make me less likely to want to work with someone.

I always get the impression that she's saying it because she doesn't want to appear like she's forgotten it. But it's massively patronising, so I've started doing it back

I watched the most recent episode of QI last night
and Phil Jupitus was saying that if you have a waiter at a restaurant who introduces themselves by name you should make a point of grossly overusing it.
