Why do you think it is the charger at fault?
If you still have an hour in the battery, why would the computer die? I am confused.

AltQ2: The price is too high. Can I just behead them instead?

The charger is usually warm when plugged in. Now it is not. The led light on it is still on.
When you take the battery out, the laptop fails to start up. Ergo I think there may be a problem with the charger

At the risk of sounding idiotic
I think the laptop would fail to start up without its battery regardless of whether it's plugged into the power or not.

It might just be the fuse.

Nowhere in this shitty village sells fuses :(
One place might that I'll try this evening

Fair enough.
Sounds like a broken wire between the charger and the computer. Could be in the computer if the plug has been banged while plugged in.

Shhh, you're giving my laptop ideas that it might be time to die and that's not allowed yet.
