only thing I've ever roasted is a chicken in a crock pot
and I don't think that counts

Get a nice bit of beef
It is impossible to get it wrong (well, bar over-cooking it I suppose).

Spuds, veg, gravy and make some Yorkshire Puddings and you'll have the best of all the meals!
