Somebody just kicked up a fuss
had to go help. It's cruel to say, but sadly I couldn't help. However the addition of a hot man to the scene resulted in far more pliability

I volunteer as part of a peer project
where you're trained to deal with people who need help in some fashion. I made no difference in this situation and she was actively hostile until a hot man came past and she was suddenly twining herself around him
