it's quite nice to go for a walk
(and by extrapolation a run) at four in the morning

the best runs are when the sun either comes up or goes down
during the run, you know, to be running in light and it to go completely to dark by the end, or the other way around. that is the best.

I have never tried this
and with the grey weather these days there doesn't seem to be a proper sunrise here

You in training for something or do you just like running?

(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 23:15, Reply)
i just like running,
although usually i am in training for something, nothing at the moment although i'll probably do the cardiff half marathon next year, maybe the odd 10k race here and there. and by here and there i mean cardiff and derby, possibly.

I've never appreciated the joy of running on a regular basis as an adult.
How far does the average run take you?
(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 23:26, Reply)
depends, sometimes i do two miles for speed,
sometimes up to maybe ten miles, for distance.
note: i am not that fast yet.
(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 23:29, Reply)
10 miles would kill me!
How long did it take you to build up to that sort of distance?
(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 23:31, Reply)
a couple of months i guess,
it is all flat around here though, i'm not so good with hilly bits.
(, Thu 11 Nov 2010, 23:32, Reply)
Bristol is full of hills!
I'll stick to driving.
