Finding a pub in that area that isn't full of tossers is practically impossible,I like The Griffin in Shoreditch (Leonard Street) - it's a dive, but it's my kind of dive. I think they have Doom Bar at least. Warning: the lavatories are disgusting.
I'm babysitting so I can't join you I'm afraid.
