I went out and had a steak and ale pie and a pint of ale as suggested by Monty. The pie was fucking delicious.

I've also been to see a possible place to stay while away from home, and not only was it massive and beautiful and in the country, but it has its own heated indoor pool, and the mad landlady would cook me dinner at no extra cost. This seems like a winner to me.

I'll be going out to view the alternative in about 5 minutes.
