
Sometimes, just sometimes, old people say something worth listening to. Ok, so it's like picking the needle out of a whole haystack of mis-remembered war stories, but those gems should be celebrated.
Tell us something worthwhile an old-type person has told you.

This is quite possibly the worse advice you can give a curious child of 3 years old.
It hurt. And it also led to a liftime of playing with electricity.

to do things you have been specifically told not to. Especially when you're young! I had a similar experience myself at that age.
I also remember being told at my last job to "not press the red button under the counter, it makes the alarm go off and it's a pain in the arse turning it off." You can guess what I did, but being older I atleast made it look like an accident.
