We don't all have a Napoleon complex. Some of us, however, get pissed off when people belittle us (ho, ho), so we can't win. You're either short and weedy, or short and pissed off because people assume you're weedy . . .

surely being landlord, you should be in control of the maintenance of said bar where people leave money. Maybe you should instruct one of your staff to regularly wipe down aforementioned bar top, or better still, do it yourself, surely you won't mind picking money up off a nice clean non sticky bar, it is after all what keeps you in a job as landlord of a drinking establishment

Although, whether the bar is wet/sticky in the middle of a busy night, or pristine and shiny on a quiet afternoon, it is still quite possibly one of the rudest things I have ever experienced.
Imagine if it were the other way around, with your change. I wouldn't dream of doing that to someone.

I have never belittled a short man (or woman), being a thoroughly decent chap as I am.
However, it is an undeniable fact, having been in the trade that I am for many years, that short men tend to be more prone to reacting violently to a situation that may or may not even exist except in their heads.

Now, I don't like to make sweeping generalizations, but in this case, I just finished a shift during which I had to deal with an idiot who happened to be short, and it peeved me, therefore it fitted quite nicely with this QOTW.

So just relax. Or buy some stacked heels.
