It's a poor man's New Doctor Who. The original series had intelligent, well-written stories, whereas the modern incarnation has flashy effects, annoying music and touchy-feeliness but no real substance.

Torchwood is so crap that only children would be able to watch it without thinking "this is total guff", but they've denied themselves that audience with all the shagging and swearing. Bunch of arse.
